Thirsty for xTool S1's
first-hand look!
After getting my s1 all set up my power adapter went out. I contacted xtool customer service and they helped troubleshoot the problem and sent out a replacement part. My only critique would be that when replacing a faulty part to send the replacement via overnight shipping.
To start, I would like to say I am not very skilled with computers or technology. I make knives and do leather work. After a lot of research, I decided to try the S1 20w and IR package. After a little trial & error, but much less error than expected, I started to get great results. I am very pleased with the results on slate, high carbon steel marking, leather and even tumblers.
I bought this laser a few months ago and have been so impressed. It has cut more efficiently and nearly just as fast as my friends 100W C02 laser (yes the power of a 100W is still generally more, however, I seriously am impressed.) This was a more affordable option than some of the larger lasers I was looking into and I was worried it wouldn't work as well, or be as effective, however its been amazing, its allowed me to get right to work, way easy to set up, I didn't have to go buy alllll these extra parts like these other lasers require to run more effectively. It was fast and easy to set up and allowed me to get right to work! HIGHLY RECOMMEND
The ease of use is incredible.
Everything seems pretty easy to understand and use. The only issue I have is the lack of approved material settings for the IR module. That was the big selling point for my, but it almost seems like a waste because all the effort seems to have been put into the 40w module.
