4 Magical Cutting and Printing Modules
M1 Ultra’s main highlight is its four magical modules – the world’s only DIY machine to feature four functionalities. There’s a laser cutting and engraving module, a blade cutting head, an inkjet printing module, and a pen drawing module.
Diode Laser Module
The laser module is similar to what we offer in other xTool diode laser machines (M1, S1 and F series). It comes in two options: 20W or 10W diode laser. The 20W variant can cut a basswood thickness of up to 10mm, while the 10W’s maximum is limited to 6mm.
M1 Ultra can engrave at 400mm/s and handle objects up to 25mm high. With the riser, the maximum engraving height expands to 125mm. Rotary engraving with xTool’s RA2 Pro attachment is also supported.
Blade Module
The blade module further offers multiple options – each for a specific use case. There’s a fine point blade, a tapered blade, a rotary blade, and a foil transfer tip.
- The fine point blade is for cutting thin and light materials like A4 copy paper, vinyl, adhesive stickers, or materials with comparable thicknesses.
- For flexible materials (up to 2.5mm), there’s a tapered cutting blade, which is harder and stronger than the fine point blade. It can cut materials like balsa wood, matboard, leather, craft foam, or Cricut chipboard.
- The rotary blade for fabric materials i.e. denim, cotton, or linen.
- The foil transfer tip is designed to create a gold foil effect on paper. It precisely press the foil and transfer it onto paper. It can also create embossed patterns on paper when used without foil.
Inkjet Printing Module
This module functions similar to a regular inkjet printer, offering full-color printing on paper, photo paper, and wood. You can use it in combination with other modules to create vivid projects.
Drawing Module
The pen drawing module offers 0.4mm fine liner pens in eight colors: red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, and black. These pens can write and draw intricate designs on paper.
The drawing module also supports 3rd party drawing pens, and the respective materials they cater.
The Ultimate Craft Machine
The four modules make the M1 Ultra the ultimate craft machine. With it, crafters can process a range of tasks and materials that previously required multiple separate machines.
M1 Ultra can perform cutting, punching, hollowing, engraving, marking, foil stamping, painting, and coloring. Currently, that’s possible with just 4 modules. We plan to introduce more add-ons to enhance its functionality.
Multi-Tasking Made Easy
The M1 Ultra resolves the tough challenge of switching between different machines for various tasks. Thanks to our Quick SwapTM Modules, changing a tool is effortless. It just takes 3 seconds to switch between modules.
For instance, if you're working on a custom greeting card that requires both intricate cutting and precise drawing, you can quickly swap from the cutting tool to the drawing tool without any delay.
Zero Learning Curve
The machine comes assembled, right out of the box. You just have to place the material and start creating. The machine has sensors that automatically measure the material thicknesss and adjust the focus accordingly.
No technical expertise is required to operate the machine. The machine is controlled by xTool’s user-friendly software, XCS.
XCS runs on all operating systems. The application is easy to navigate and facilitates new users with custom settings for different materials and pre-made design templates. There are 5000+ design templates available for your inspiration.
Advanced Design Positioning System
Instead of a camera system, M1 Ultra features an advanced pin-point positing system, where you mark different points and it auto recognizes shapes and makes design mapping easy.
Safe to use Anywhere
M1 Ultra is a Class 1 laser machine i.e. it’s safe for use under all normal conditions. Its notable safety features include laser-light filtering, tilt detection, movement-triggered shutdown, lid-open stop, and a fire safety kit.
Moreover, it is equipped with an excellent exhaust system (54000 rpm fan) that ensures efficient smoke evacuation, keeping the outside environment mess-free.
Heat Press Package
Along with M1 Ultra, we are also introducing xTool Heat Press. It will be offered in two variants: a mini heat press (100.08mm×59.94mm) for smaller designs and crafts. And a smart heat press (304.8mm×254mm) for bigger design projects.
With the M1 Ultra and Heat Press combo, you can now complete your exciting heat transfer projects with ease.
Future Enhancements
